Certificate Programs
Austin Peay State University defines a certificate program as a credit bearing stand-alone program. Certificate programs may be developed at the Graduate or Undergraduate level and departments are able to propose two different types of certificates:

Certificates requiring 24 credit hours or less

Certificates requiring greater than 24 credit hours
Certificate will be classified as undergraduate if it allows any course below the 5000 level to be completed for credit. Graduate level certificates should require all coursework be a minimum of 5000 level.
